Someday...her prince will come ~

Wednesday, September 3, 2008

But for now - catching and releasing frogs in the backyard is such good fun. No point in keeping them around when the little miss won't be dating for a good twenty, thirty, forty years...
That's an awfully long time for a frog to wait around to be turned into a prince!

So...we watch them swim in the doggie pool, we scoop them up into bowls...and then we release them in the flower bed where we found them in the first place...

(Don't worry folks - the dog is afraid of them!)

That is so sweet! I think little frogs are kinda cute. :)

I loved frogs so much when I was that age. That just brings back so many memories. Thanks!

I love these pictures, and this post just brought me back to my childhood. We would always catch frogs (well, toads, actually), and we'd "train" them for a day and then release them again. We'd tell them to jump, and lo and behold, the toads would eventually jump. I wanted to make little diplomas for them, so their toad friends would know how much smarter they were having been through our toad academy.
