Celebrate Good Times...Come On!

Saturday, January 16, 2010

We tried to celebrate D's birthday on his actual birthday, but with all the hullabaloo that is Christmas and all that surrounds it...it just wasn't really happening...

We did go to Chuck E. Cheese and blow some cash play a few games....
and we celebrated with plain cupcakes - no frosting! (How's that for a switch!)

How did our baby turn 3 already? ACK! (Note the road rash on his face...Daddy & the kids went sledding for some birthday excitement while I was working...conditions weren't exactly ideal and on the first run down the hill, someone might have fallen out of the sled on their face...! Thank GOD nothing was broken!)

So with the hoopla that is the holidays...we decided to push D's 3rd birthday celebration out a little ways...and just finally had the party this weekend...

Oh what a celebration!

Ev tasted some of the spread...

While J and D took turns driving each other around on the truck...won't be long and neither of them are going to fit on this thing!

S kept Bosco on his toes...

And Luker spent time on everyone's favorite Mickey toy!

Before sharing some grub with his folks!

The guest of honor made a few wishes...

While B spent time with his Grandma Jill ~

D and Denny hung out...

But Bosco let Denny know just how he feels...back to back - arch nemesis! I don't know why - but Bosco always lets Denny know who's boss around here!

Auntie Betsy got to work on the kickin' train set they gave D for his birthday!!

While Uncle Cookie stayed busy playing GO FISH with somone who makes up her own rules to most every game!

When we DID celebrate D's birthday ON his birthday - he told us it wasn't his birthday because there were no people and no cake....He wanted a pinata like his big sister had...and he wanted his friends over...

A pinata...in our little house? Yep...call me crazy...

We had Daddy hold one end of a rod - And trusty Dan to hold the other...and thankfully, no one was hurt...not even the damn pinata!

So we took the pinata down and let the hounds loose!

And then we let Bosco finish the job just like he did at H's party this fall!

All in all, a great day...We are sooo blessed and lucky to have the friends and family that we do...

H sportin' the 'rose' she got from her little boyfriend P - he brought it to her when they got here (he just turned 4 last month) and I sooo wish I'd of been video taping...He handed it to her and she said something so adorable and over the top like she had been wanting one of those all her life! Later that same night - she told us he was her boyfriend and she was going to marry him - D asked her 'RIGHT NOW?' obviously very concerned this was about to happen - to which she replied..."No Silly! On a DATE!"

Oh, they grow up too fast...I can't help but ask myself...
Where did my baby boy go??

Every little boy needs his own personal shaving kit! Thanks P!
