Swimming...Swimming...Just Keep Swimming...

I cannot tell you how ecstatic we are about these blue bracelets.

Thrilled beyond anything I could even tell you...

We had our mid session swim report last night - Though mid session is a little silly because we've got 5 lessons down - 2 to go...
And the kids EARNED THE BLUE BRACELETS!
What does the bracelet mean?
Well, it means that the kids can swim, without an adult!
Ya Baby!
While we don't mind swimming with them...sometimes, it's nice to not have to don a swimsuit in December and play in the not-so-warm water!

(& because we do not have a membership to said club with said pool, I'm finding taking our family of four swimming around here is both hard & expensive!)

I am so proud of these little fishes...

Just five lessons in & wow, you should see these two diving under water, retrieving dive sticks, playing tag with new found friends...
Because they earned the bracelets - I let them stay after their lesson and play with some other kids last night - THAT is invaluable. Monkey See, Monkey Do. They watch the other kids dive in, and sure enough - they aren't far behind.

I swear, just when your heart can't possibly be any more full of love - something comes along and makes it all but explode with even more love, more adoration, more pride.
I love you little fishes...
Just keep swimming...Just keep swimming...
Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming....

Tear.
Gone are the days of watching your husband dive into a pool fully clothed. :)

Oh, I love this post. I never get tired of seeing/reading about proud parents. Congrats to both of them for being great fish!!

@Buck - HA HA HA! That sounds hilarious...because the alternative is, him diving into the pool NOT fully clothed...Which, you never know, could happen I suppose...
;)
@Laura - Thanks!! Such an important life skill, I am thrilled that they are picking it up easily!

That is so awesome. We are doing winter swimming lessons too because Boo Boo was progressing so quickly at end of summer I didn't want to lose momentum.
