Progression...

So part of The Plan 2010 for me is to get more time away with the hubs...
Our annual neighborhood Progressive Dinner counts right?
We got a sitter (thanks again Auntie Christy! The sitter thing is another thing I'm not doing very well on for The Plan 2010 - ugh...)
Progression right?

And while the night didn't consist of time *alone* per se - it consisted of a night with grown ups that we are so very lucky to have in our lives...
Meet...our wonderful neighbor friends!

I tell you - a group picture could be a post in and of itself...I got about 20 group photos - but someone is cut off in almost every one - and someone who shall remain nameless but may or may not be married to me - had to go potty during said group picture. I thought he was kidding around until I turned around to find him yep - GONE!

We did manage to get ONE photo that we were all in...Thanks Julie, for taking all of these!
One day, when I learn photo shop - I can go back and crop people back in all the outtakes!

Anyhoo - We started out at the usual house for drinks and appetizers...

I get such a kick out of Bets...she was ready to rock and roll with her bottle(s)!

Some of the gals...

And then we headed over to Sue & John's for the main course - where the fun was just getting started!

This year was all fondue...and it was A. MAZING!

There were shrimps...(though I don't eat them - my hubs had my share and loved them...)

And can I just say that I loved how one of the gals said to me "Why are you taking a picture of RAW MEAT?" To which I reply..."doesn't everyone?" I mean really!

And chicken and steak....yummy!

After gorging ourselves on salad and fresh, hot rolls, shrimp, steak, chicken and veggies...
We headed next door to us where Bets was busy preparing ice cream drinks that may or may not have been loaded with yummy alcohol...
And they too, were a hit...

I busied myself making the chocolate fondue for dessert (while Bets prepared a scrumptious toffee one)

And even though the Absolutely Almond Pound Cake fell apart in the fondue (it was just too moist and delightful on it's own to stand up to being dunked in sugary goodness!), we still had plenty of other delights like fresh strawberries and bananas, cheesecake bites, pretzel rods, lemon pound cake, angel food cake and mini eu clairs!

Yep...our neighbors...A pretty damn fun, amazing group of folks (who can cook a pretty awesome feast for a Saturday night) if I do say so myself...
Even if some of them might be a little crazy...
Case in point...

That looks like a lot of fun! Getting a sitter is on my plan, too, and I haven't done anything about it. *sigh*
