Where a Kid can be a Kid!

Thursday, March 19, 2009

Is that the motto for the 'giant rat place?' I'm not even sure...

Regardless - we went to the infamous Chuck E. Cheese on Sunday for the neighbor boys' 4th and 2nd birthday parties...Our kids were very well behaved and had a blast...they were probably just tired since it was a Sunday morning party!

Hails LOVES her some Chuck E. Cheese!

D was too busy with the plastic version to care about the 'real thing'

All in all - a fun way to spend a Sunday morning...And probably something we won't ever do ourselves for our birthdays so was even MORE nice to be invited! Thanks guys!

Chuck E. Cheese's

Friday, October 24, 2008

Well, we took the kids to the infamous Chuck E. Cheese. We had company in town with three kids of their own and decided it was as good a time as any to let our kids experience the giant rat place. It sure was a good bargaining chip for a day or two leading up to the visit..."You better be good or else we can't go to Chuck E. Cheese!!"
Worked like a charm!!

AND...the kids were GREAT there - we played a few games, ate and played a few more games. H was pretty content to just walk around sticking coins in slots not realizing she got to actually PLAY A GAME when she did that...uh oh - I sense slot machines in her future!!
Maybe all of this practice will pay off one day...

The kids stopped playing games long enough to eat, then we played some more - there was no whining, fussing, fighting over games, coins, tickets...
All five kids did fantastic and had a great time!

Afterwards we came back to our place and visited for awhile - a person wouldn't even have known we had five kids in the house - they were soo soo good...makes me contemplate the idea of having a few more around all the time...
HA! Actually - it's soo nice to have the "cousins" over and then go back to our own crazy little life...

Hard to tell from the pic if little A is bossing him around or working her magic on him - (she's just over 2 months older than he is...) but it was more on the magic side than the bossing side...

And then he pushed her around the house on the Mickey Airplane!

Everyone stayed pretty busy preparing dinner after dinner...

And H. handled all the calls -
