Halloween Cake Pop Fun!

I'm no stranger to Cake Pops...
I think they are all kinds of amazing and adorable and FUN!

I even went so far as to create my own DIY Cake Pop Stand!

Who knew I was so crafty?

ANYHOO -
My good friend Peg introduced me to her good friend Jess...
And it was love love love!

Jess invited us over for an afternoon of Cake Pop Making Fun!
What's fun about Cake Pop Making you ask?
I KNOW!

The second I walked into Jess's House...

Your balls are so perfectly round and symmetrical!! ~
And mine are much much bigger! I told Jess...

Ah yes, hand rolling the big balls, that doesn't work...she quickly told us!

So she introduced me to THIS contraption!

So. Many. Things. I have been doing wrong all this time!
I learned a lot this day...
I'm currently debating about buying myself this Heavenly Cake Pops cake pop roller for a late birthday, early Christmas gift...

I think this would be a whole lot more fun if I had one, don't you?

Anyhoo -
Jess had all the Cake Pop Balls rolled out and ready to go...
in a multitude of flavors, AH!

She spoiled us rotten with every color of Candy Melt you could imagine...

And we were set free to create!

I marveled at the fact that she had us all over,
in her carpeted dining room, and didn't tarp the floor first!
HA!
Thankfully, my messes were contained!

And the amazing, inspiring, kind-hearted, wealth-of-knowledge proprietor of Everyday O'Cakesions shared her vast knowledge with us.

And when I tried to recreate what she did, the cute little flower?

Well, I ended up with Patrick, from Spongebob Squarepants fame!

I got a little more comfortable, as the afternoon went on...
and my creations actually started looking, well, CUTE!

But not as cute as the Master Baker/Creator!
Lookit this!

When I took them home, I quickly dug out my DIY Cake Pop Stands, that have sadly sat empty for a year, because I couldn't bring myself to go through the pain of making more cake pops!

I always bite off more than I can chew...literally!

And isn't she so adorable!?!

Imagine, if you will, an organized, somewhat uniform army of Cake Pops in one of these homemade stands?

I've got a long ways to go, before my creations match Jess's - but her willingness to share her knowledge is going to get me there a heckuva lot faster!
(And so might that Heavenly Cake Pop Roller, if I can convince Santa to deliver it!)

Thanks again Jess, for being so willing to share your home, your tips, tricks, ideas...
And most of all, your friendship.

If anyone in the Twin Cities Metro Area needs someone to make them a spectacular creation, I cannot say enough about Everyday O'Cakesions!
Check her out!

*** I am not being compensated for this post, and I hope that's obvious. I actually paid to attend a work shop with Jess on this particular afternoon. I simply cannot say enough about the amazing things she creates for special occasions, and I'm grateful for her willingness to share! ***
