2010 - My year in review

Friday, December 31, 2010

Ah...2010.

A year filled with some of the highest highs and lowest lows I have ever experienced...I know I am not alone...

2010 High/Low Lights...

January

  • had me praying for one of my oldest and dearest friends as she found herself amidst the rubble in the earthquake in Haiti - Incidentally, Joanna left for Haiti again this past weekend. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers...
  • Later this month - 40 local bloggers would band together to package food at Feed My Starving Children. We had no idea when it was set up that there would be a devastating earthquake and that our hard work would go to feed the people in Haiti.

February

  • We kicked off the month in Orlando Florida at our first family vacation to Disney World!
  • I became a team leader for the first ever Cards for Cancer project - who knew that just 6 months later I would be burying my own mother, who died after a 7 week battle with the Big C.

March

April

May

June

  • I found myself the recipient of a gardening grant from the City in which I live - and the phone call that would change my life forever - the call that said my mom had had a heart attack, was unresponsive, and was at the hospital...

July

August

September

October

November

December

There are the highlights of my 2010 - When I look back I see more lows than I want to...

So here's hoping that 2011 brings many many more ups than downs...
